Cocaine and crack cocaine are highly addictive. Mixing alcohol and cocaine is the most common cause of drug-combination related deaths.

Immediate effects:

Immediate effects After you take cocaine, almost immediately you have the effects, and they wear off. The effects are: talkative, mentally alert especially through sight sound and touch, it can temporarily decrease the need for food or sleep

long term effects:

long term effects Snorting can cause ulceration of the mucus membrane of the nose, and can damage the nasal septum enough to make it collapse. Cocaine can cause heart attacks even in young abusers. Regularly snorting cocaine can lead to loss of sense of smell, nosebleeds, problems with swallowing, hoarseness, and a chronically runny nose. Cocaine related deaths, are often a result of cardiac arrests or seizures followed by respiratory arrests. Regular cocaine and crack users can become paranoid.

Addictive? Cocaine has a psychological dependancy, meaning that its highly addictive. When addicted, you can get severe brain damage in your nervous system, making you paranoid, and even more addicted. When you have a cocaine withdrawal, most people suffer from: anguish, depression, weakness, anxiety, pain and craving.

The abuse effect on society The drug user’s violence can affect family and friends. The user could, and most likely will, commit crimes. The drug user’s can influence teens, and other people to try it. The drug user could really hurt the people around them, emotionally and physically.
