What about the USA?:

What about the USA? Over 2000… Are we, the richest nation in many ways in the world – willing to pay the price?

Slide71:

If current patterns continue, the unreached will still be 23-28% of the world’s population in 2025 Will We Change?

We need to rethink our priorities:

We need to rethink our priorities We need to seek ways to get into the 10/40 window and other unreached area, especially in the restricted areas We need to focus on multiplying disciples through teaching We must avoid dependency We will need to partner more with “majority world” countries

Partnership vs. Sponsoring:

Partnership vs. Sponsoring Partnership – resources flow both ways If resources flow in one direction – that is really sponsoring “Majority world” churches do want our presence as well as our resources, but not to westernize them

We need to rethink our priorities:

We need to rethink our priorities We need to focus more on the unreached even though the work is difficult and often dangerous We need to focus more on translation work – especially the numerous languages not translated with as many as 5,000,000 in the language group

Urbanization is important:

Urbanization is important Christians represent 33% of the world population, but over 40% of the urban population The world is becoming urbanized increasingly Thus we need strategies to reach the lost in the cities

The Resources are in the Harvest:

The Resources are in the Harvest Matthew 28:18-20 teaches us to disciple the lost nations, including baptizing them and teach them to obey We need to strip off our culture as much as possible and plant the gospel Dependency is the primary killer of people movements The goal is indigenous churches – as the primary instrument of God’s presence and work in a community
