SUCCESS Some regrets people have in relation to success: Not spending enough time with family Procrastination c. Never took action “The graveyard is the wealthiest place in the world because in it are all the books that have never been written, songs that have never been sung, all the videos that have never been produced, all the movies that were never done, all the businesses never started, because people lack the self-discipline to do the things that really matter to create successful results.”- Miles Monroe

PHILOSOPHY OF FIRST THINGS

Slide11:

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he- Proverbs 23:7

Slide12:

“The best part of waking up ” “You deserve a break today”

Slide13:

“When something becomes second nature, then that produces results in your life”

“You don’t get out of life what you want”:

“You don’t get out of life what you want” You get out of life who and what you are Change you, and you will get results

Success is a journey not just a destination:

Success is a journey not just a destination

principles from the Bible:

principles from the Bible There is no word in Hebrew for retirement The curse is not why people work; the curse is why people sweat when they work The Jewish community is the most successful in the world Follow the old testament and you will produce results in every area of your life Old Testament Deals with head. New Testament deals with heart You cannot glorify god in business if you are not producing results The wealthy continue to be wealthy because they can be trusted with more “You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things”- Mat 25:23

6 things you should practice everyday ! ( These will change every area of your life):

6 things you should practice everyday ! ( These will change every area of your life) “Success to me does not mean anything if I achieve financial or business success but I’ve lost my wife, my children, or my health”.

Wisdom and success:

Wisdom and success If you want to be successful in any area of your life look at what everyone else is doing and do the opposite The foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom Many people are unsuccessful because they don’t live in Psalm 1 but under the counsel of the ungodly God is the one that gives wisdom It doesn’t matter how much information you get from the world, if it contradicts the word of God, then you will not create long term results

Slide19:

Spiritually Physically Emotionally Psychologically Financially Relationally

Slide20:

“Success is a byproduct of putting first things first and a result of good habits”

Whatsoever a man sows that will he reap:

Whatsoever a man sows that will he reap When you see what you’re reaping don’t blame others, look at the fruit of your life

Slide22:

Habits:

Habits “Form good habits and make them your masters” “Good habits are hard to form and easy to live with; bad habits are easy to form and hard to live with” “Motivation is what gets you started, habits keep you going”

Slide24:

These are secrets because very few people are willing to take the time to learn the truth and then apply it Proverbs 2:4-5 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God.… “When it comes to the truth of God and the principles that change our lives you can’t be lazy”

Practice #1-give god the first day of the week:

Practice #1- give god the first day of the week Most Christians don’t follow this principle Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy Most people are physically, spiritually and emotionally drained because they don’t understand the principle of rest. God ties blessings to giving him the Sabbath Work for 6 days and use 1 for rest God commands us to rest!

Slide26:

When you have less time, you get more done If you want to be successful, do something unique by building up your inner man Be intentional to not let anything make you change this commitment The Sabbath was not instituted in Exodus but in Genesis Exodus 20:8-10 Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. When you operate within God’s economy, you have His blessings Practice #1 - (Continued) Throughout 25 years of entrepreneurship I have never done work on a Sunday I prefer to give 150% for one hour than 50% for 24 hours

Practice #2-give god the first hour of the day:

Practice #2- give god the first hour of the day Man should not live by bread alone but by the word of God Who had more demands on their time and life than Jesus Christ? No one! Our mind helps us justify why we don’t have time for spiritual things Mat 26:40 “And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?” People fall into temptation when they don’t start their mornings the right way There are biblical principles to rising early ”Give us this day our daily bread” – The Lord’s Prayer (Mar 1:35) “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” “It should be our rule never to see the face of men before first seeing the face of God. The morning watch anchors the soul so that it will not very readily drift far away from God during the day; the morning is the gate of the day and it should be well guarded with prayer. He who rushes from his bed to his business without first spending time with God is as foolish as though he had not washed or dressed, and as unwise as the dashing to battle without arms or armour .” - Charles H. Spurgeon, English preacher in the 19th century.

Slide28:

It’s not how much action or activity you do that creates the result but it is the type that you do

Practice #3-give god the first tenth of each dollar:

Practice #3- give god the first tenth of each dollar When you give you are telling God you understand that everything you get comes from Him. Cain and Able tithed before there was a tithing principle in the Bible You cannot be successful without saving Give God, save, and then pay bills. If you give God the first tenth of every dollar, you do better with the little you have left You will adjust your priorities when you change your values

Slide30:

Pro 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase so shall thy barns be filled with plenty and thy presses shall burst out with new wine God’s economy says to walk by faith not by sight Give and it shall be given unto you Matthew 23:23 Practice #3 (continued)

Practice #4-give god the first place in your affections:

Practice #4- give god the first place in your affections If you want to produce results in your life give God the glory. Affection - a bent of mind towards a particular object, holding a middle place between disposition, which is natural, and passion, which is excited by the presence of its exciting object Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Continue to remove from your life anything that will destroy your affections for God.

Practice #5-give god the first place in your habits:

Practice #5- give god the first place in your habits Christianity does not just avoid the wrong, it goes above it. 1Co 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any A lot of God’s people live in the law realm and are just trying to find out what they can get away with. All things are lawful but you should not be controlled by anything If something is not building you up get rid of it You can be controlled by money food, drink, opinions of others, TV, etc.

Practice #6-give god the first place in your home:

Practice #6- give god the first place in your home Joshua 24:15 – “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. “ Nowhere in the Bible does it say children obey God Jesus was equal with God but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be equal with God Teach your children to obey you or they will not obey God Men have a responsibility to teach and instruct the family 1 Cor 15:33

Slide34:

A Christian home is a home that is set apart for God. Psa 101:2-3 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. If you want to consecrate your home to the Lord, you need to be careful what you expose your family to. Practice #6- (continued)

Things to Remember :

Things to Remember 1. A Christian home is Christian when it is consecrated to God 2.I am committed to doing the opposite of what others around me are doing 3.Give God the first day of every week. 4.Make sure you keep negative outside influences from entering your home.
