Kellogg company:

Kellogg company NEW PRODUCT DESIGN FILE

FROM THE DESK OF THE new CEO:

FROM THE DESK OF THE new CEO When I was growing up, my father fought in the Vietnam War. Though he made it home safely, he suffered from severe PTSD, and found no support amongst the American people for his brave actions in those years. That is why I ask the product design board to make sure our youth believe passionately in our nation so they might become as dedicated a patriot as my father. - RegiS Samuelson

EXISTING DESIGN:

EXISTING DESIGN Character lacks appeal amongst children ages 5-12 Lacks vibrant color scheme Need to highlight benefits as a fulfilling breakfast

NEW DESIGN:

NEW DESIGN NEW CHARACTER RELEVANT TO KIDS’ LIVES who HIGHLIGHTS BENEFITS OF EATING CORN POPS Encourages students to study hard REVAMPED, vibrant color scheme NUTRITIONAL FACTS MORE EVIDENT TO parents Supports the armed forces as Mr. Samuelson Wished

The effects on pathos:

The effects on pathos Colors are aesthetically pleasing; fonts sport a fresh design New red, white, and blue star trim helps frame container moving and relatable image for members of the armed forces and their family members Relatable image for schoolchildren as well

The effects on ethos:

The effects on ethos Design suggests purchasing corn pops supports troops; especially valuable to very patriotic people who champion freedom Quote suggests parents who purchase this for their children are feeding them a quality meal Featured woman supports education; relatable to parents who also place a premium on education

The effects on logos:

The effects on logos Vitamins and minerals are healthy for my child, so this is a smart purchase 9 Grams of sugar per serving doesn’t sound like very much… If the woman found success in her life (“and prepare for tomorrow”) then my child may also find similar success
