Stock Market Update – All About Today Today on Tuesday apart from the Nifty IT the equity market was reflecting positive sentiment and most sectoral indices on trading with gains. In the morning trade the Nifty IT was among the odd one out on Tuesday. It was trading as the solitary loser on NSE. At around 11:00 am it was seen that the Nifty IT index was trading 0.18 percent down at 14657 level. The top losers of the Nifty IT index were the shares of Wipro HCL Technologies Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy Services and KPIT Technologies. On the other hand the list of stocks those were trading in the green includes the shares of Mindtree Infosys Tata Elxsi and Oracle Financial Services Software. The analysts recommended buying in metal auto and bank stocks as these stocks were keeping the equity benchmarks up. Today the NSE Nifty50 index was up 51 points at 11136 while the BSE Sensex was up 162 points at 36880. Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index 35 were trading in the green while 15 were in the red. Grasim Industries Ultratech Cement and Hindalco Industries were among the top gainers in the Nifty index. On the other hand the shares of Bajaj Finance Bajaj Finserv Hero MotoCorp Bajaj Auto and Wipro were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks. On Tuesday in the morning trade session the private bank stocks like IDFC Bank South Indian Bank and Federal Bank were trading up. The shares those were in the positive territory and kept the sectoral index in the green are RBL Bank IndusInd Bank Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank. On the other side the losses in YES Bank and Axis Bank were capping the rise of the index. The Nifty private bank index was trading 0.15 up.
