Katie Welnhofer Has Interest in Diverse Areas Katie Welnhofer is a broadcast journalism graduate with years of expertise in the industry. She has worked with top organizations and has diligently fulfilled all of her duties and responsibilities. She is also an award-winning swimmer who won a scholarship from Northwestern University. She studied at New Trier High School where she was a Senior-National Qualifier. During graduation she was claimed as one of the best Trevian swimmers. She bagged the third position at state in the 100 th butterfly and the 50 freestyle. Katie Welnhofer grew academically both as a person and as a world-class swimmer. Subsequently she gained admission into the Medill School of Journalism one of the top journalism schools in the world where she did well and graduated in four years. During her studies she developed a passion for broadcast journalism which she holds to this date. She is also a news junkie who loves watching and reading about the latest news and breaking news and events. She also likes trying new restaurants cooking and taking photos of food. She loves reading magazines and books such as InStyle Vanity Fair Shape and Vogue. She is also fond of watching movies and recently she watched Roman Holiday and Milk. Her favorite Netflix series include Bloodline The Affair Stranger Things and The Night Of. Besides fulfilling her professional commitments and devoting time to her hobbies she doesn’t forget her duties toward the community. She volunteers at PAWs an organization committed to making the world a better place for animals and people. From 2010-2012 Katie Welnhofer volunteered for Minds Matter as a writing and critical thinking tutor helping low-income kids learn to write essays and prepare them to go to college. Presently she is volunteering with Pa’lante a non-profit based in Harlem.
