Cardio For Bodybuilders : Bodybuilders use lower-intensity but longer duration workouts. Normally, a bodybuilder does 30-45 minute workouts per week. Their exercises include elliptical work, stair-stepping, treadmill walking, and stationary biking. For Athletes On the other hand, when we talk about athletes, they practice cardio differently. The athletes use higher intensity workouts and practice them for shorter durations. Their performance includes 10-15 minutes of cardio (intense interval-based cardio) per week. Interval based training is that training, in which a person trains hard for a shorter period and then rests for a short period. This process is repeated for a prescribed number of sets or intervals. Some of the exercises for athletes include sprinting, jumping, sparring, or playing their sport.
