Yin and Yang:

Yin and Yang Chinese medicine describes balance as yin and yang In sum, yin represents cool and restful feminine energy, while yang is hot and active masculine energy Yin and yang never exist in a static 50/50 balance Imbalance = rise of yang energy Entelechy Coaching, LLC

Yin versus Yang:

Yin versus Yang Yang Rising Too much yang Shows up as: headaches, a red face, sore eyes, sore throats, nose bleeds, irritability and manic behavior Yang = acting on our intuitions and inspiration Too much yang = distrust intuition Yang Deficiency Lack of yang Shows up as: cold limbs, hypo-activity, poor circulation of blood, pale face and low energy Yin = receiving intuition and inspiration Too much yin = difficulty in making dreams happen Entelechy Coaching, LLC

Yin and Yang in Recovery :

Too much work without rest leads to a yin deficiency, as yin is the restful energy balancing the active nature of yang. Smoking, drinking, drugs puts heat, or yang, into the lungs, which also leads to a deficiency of yin.
