Decision Making Decision making is the study of identifying and choosing alternatives based on the values and preferences of the decision maker. It happens at all levels of business.

Transaction Processing Systems (TPS) It is an information system that records company’s internal & external transactions . A TPS meets the needs of operational managers; the output of the TPS becomes the input to an Management Information System (MIS).

Management Information Systems (MIS) : 

Management Information Systems (MIS) ‘MIS’ is a planned system of collecting, processing, storing and disseminating data in the form of information needed to carry out the functions of management.

Uses Of MIS : 

Uses Of MIS It is a well integrated system that monitors and controls the internal operations of an organization. The input to an MIS comes primarily from TPS & other sources from within the company. The output of an MIS takes the form of summary reports & exception data.
