Next came innovation in business models with freight forwarders and NVOCCs
carving out a profitable niche. Both companies will track your cargo and move it
through the supply chain the major difference being that an NVOCC is typically
has more responsibility also acting as a carrier and has more responsibility for
the cargo.
Now you must compete on flexibility responsiveness and
communications. Customers and trading partners want access to real-time
accurate information at any time from anywhere in the world through any
device. Plus the market is moving fast towards proactive notifications alerts and
messaging.
