The successful candidate will be required to submit a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal background check. www.carletonplace.ca As of June 1, 2013 there will be significant changes to the Town of Carleton Place Waste Collection Program. Questions? Call 613-257-2253 • The Town of Carleton Place will no longer be handing out garbage stickers and will instead allow one un-stickered bag of garbage each week. Additional bags must have a sticker • Stickers can still be purchased at Town Hall, IDA, McEwen’s Gas Station, & Chamber of Commerce Information Centre • Existing stickers will be honored until 2020. • The only exception for the new policy will be during the week between Christmas and New Year’s when 3 un-stickered bags will be allowed • Large household items (e.g. couch, chair, mattress, etc.) must have four stickers attached for collection • Appliances must be properly decommissioned and tagged by a certified technician indicating refrigerant has been properly removed. LAWN WATERING BY-LAW 19-2000 It is important for residents to follow the Lawn Watering By-Law to ensure that water shortages do not occur. The Town of Carleton Place has restrictions when residents can water their lawns. This By-Law regulates the consumption and use of water from the first day of May to the last day of September, the following regulations apply:

No person using the Town of Carleton Place water supply system shall water from more than one connection. Residents occupying an even-numbered address may water on even-numbered calendar days only. Residents occupying an odd-numbered address may water on odd-numbered calendar days only. Watering is allowed only between the hours of 5:00 am and 9:00 am, and between the hours of 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm. The only exception is if a significant amount of new grass or sod is installed, and in this case a one week period of watering is allowed from the initial date of installation.
