February 22-24, 2013 Friday, February 22, 2013 7:45pm – CP Canadians Home Game vs. Pembroke Lumber Kings. Kids 12 and under get in free, opening ceremonies with official puck drop, information/activity brochures in lobby. Saturday, February 23, 2013 8am-10am – Free pancake breakfast (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 192) 10am-2pm – Winter Kid Zone at the CP Arena field and Tobogganing behind the Curling Arena 9am-1pm – Winter Carnival Merchant Market, including chili cook off 1pm-5pm – Free horse drawn trolley rides 2pm-3pm – Free public skating at the arena 7pm-10pm –“ Fire and Ice” outdoor dance at Market Square featuring live music by “Starfire”, bonfires, free hot chocolate, marshmallows and local food vendors. Sunday, February 24, 2013 3pm – CP Canadians Home Game vs Kanata Blazers. Kids 12 and under get in free.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY THE TOWN OF CARLETON PLACE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF Responsible for the efficient administration and safe operation of the fire department under the direction of the Fire Chief. Assumes the role of fire chief in the absence of the Fire Chief. As part of the senior management team of the department exercises good judgement in accordance with the established policies, procedures, guidelines and objectives of the department and demonstrates the ability to think independently while directing fire fighters both during emergency responses and non-emergency operations.
