SELECTION OF PROBLEM IN RESEARCH:

SELECTION OF PROBLEM IN RESEARCH PRESENTED BY, MISS MADHURI A. WANARE M.Pharm (Q.A.) Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati

WHAT IS RESEARCH PROBLEM ? :

WHAT IS RESEARCH PROBLEM ? Research It is defined as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on specific topic. Research problem It refers to some difficulty which a researcher experiences in the context of either theoretical or practical situation and want to obtain a solution for that.

CONDITION FOR SELECTION OF PROBLEM ::

CONDITION FOR SELECTION OF PROBLEM : There must be an individual or a group or an organization There must be at least two course of action. There must be at least two possible outcome of course of action. The course of action available must provide some chance of obtaining objective.

COMPONENT OF RESEARCH PROBLEM: :

COMPONENT OF RESEARCH PROBLEM: There must be an individual or a group There must be some objective to be attained at. There must be alternative means/the course of action. There must be select an appropriate alternative for problem. There must be some environment to which the difficulty pertains.

SELECTING THE PROBLEM::

SELECTING THE PROBLEM: For selection of problem taking help from your colleague, research guide. The following points covered in selecting a research problem. 1. Subject which is overdone should not be normally chosen. 2.Contraversial subject should not become the choice of an average researcher. 3.Too narrow problems should be avoided. 4.The subject selected should familiar and feasible 5. The subject importance , qualification and training of researcher, cost involved, the time factor should be consider.

Necessity OF DEFINING THE PROBLEM::

Necessity OF DEFINING THE PROBLEM: There is need to define a research problem in simple form. The investigated research data convert in to discriminate relevant data from irrelevant one. The formulation of a problem in research is often essential than a solution. Defining research problem make research more faster and easy.

TECHNIQUE INVOLVED IN DEFINING AND SELECTING A PROBLEM::

TECHNIQUE INVOLVED IN DEFINING AND SELECTING A PROBLEM: 1.Statement of the problem in a general way 2. Understanding the nature of problem 3.Surveying the available literature 4.Developing the ideas through discussion 5.Rephrasing the research problem in to a working proposition

PowerPoint Presentation:

1. Statement of the problem in general way: Describe in broad general way Pilot survey- field observation + preliminary survey 2. Understanding the nature of the problem: Understand its origin and nature To make general statement concerning the problem

PowerPoint Presentation:

3.Surveying the available literature survey and exam literature find out what data and other material available It provides new approach to the present problem 4.Developing the ideas through discussion experience survey should concern with general approach to the given problem

PowerPoint Presentation:

5.Rephrasing the research problem available literature has been surveyed and examined rephrasing the problem in to analytical and operational terms

OBSERVING THE POINTS WHILE DEFINING AND SELECTING RESEARCH PROBLEM::

OBSERVING THE POINTS WHILE DEFINING AND SELECTING RESEARCH PROBLEM: Technical terms or phrases Basic assumption or postulate A straight forward statement Suitability of time period Sources of data make available Limit within which the problem is to be studied

CONCLUSION::

CONCLUSION: All the result in defining research problem is not only meaningful from an operational point of view but also capable of improving development of working hypothesis.
