Check the following:   Firstly make sure that the Wi-Fi is turned on your system . Also be sure about not enabling flight mode . Ensure that you have selected the correct wireless name in range and have connected using the correct credentials. Wireless networks with the low signal will show connected but you won’t be able to browse the internet . Check the modem and your router; make sure lights are as shown in the user guide of the service provider . Make sure you are entering the right password code. If you type the wrong password it will still show connect but you won’t be able to browse the internet.

Lenovo Support  would like to recommend you that you must check whether the issue lies in your Lenovo laptop or Wi-Fi Network.   Laptop problem:  Connect to the Wi-Fi network with another computer or friend’s phone. If the other device gets connected to the network then the problem is most likely on your device only .   Router problem:  Check whether your device can connect to Wi-Fi networks at another location, to a friend’s house or public networks. If it gets connected that means the problem is most likely on the network or router.

Detect wireless networks  in range by going to  Start  menu >  Control Panel  >  Network and Internet  >  Connect to Network . A list of all the available wireless networks in the range should appear.   Now  Update Network Driver  using the below-provided steps if you use Window 7, 8, 8.1, & 10:   Go to Start and in the search box type “Device Manager”. Click Device Manager . Here locate Network Adapters and expand the menu . Give a right-click on each/ all network one by one and hit the  Uninstall

Once all have been uninstalled, right-click again and hit the option of Scan for hardware changes. The device will re-appear in Network Connections when the drivers are loaded back.
