The Formal Report Assignment

Requirements : 

Requirements Five page paper following the formal report format from Chapter 11. You must write a memo to explain why you selected the topic, how to plan to research it, and what you hope to get out of the process. Memos are due the day before the rough draft is due although I highly suggest doing it as soon as possible. If some other topic interests you, choose a different topic but you must defend your choice. It must be a current, business related topic.

Papers must meet the following requirements: : 

Papers must meet the following requirements: 1. Reports must be Five to Six pages long single -spaced. Shorter papers will be penalized. This does not include the title page, executive summary, table of contents, bibliography/work cited or the appendix. You must use Times New Roman as your font with a font size of 12. Margins are to be one inch; top, bottom, left, and right are to be all the same. 2. Reports should be written in MLA format – See Appendix A of your book or search the Internet for details. (This was covered in English 101) 3. Reports must be written in the formal report format from Chapter 11 of your book including all applicable sections

Papers must meet the following requirements: 4. You must quote at least three sources. They may be interviews, questionnaires, magazines, web sites, books, etc. 5. Reports referencing either interviews or questionnaires must include copies of the questions asked in the appendix.

Papers must meet the following requirements: 6. All papers must be submitted in to Turnitin.com. I will not grade a paper until it has been submitted. College level papers should be really no more than 10% quoted. I will allow you up to 20%. The rest should be your words and thoughts. 7. Rough drafts must be submitted. Penalty for not submitting a draft is five points off the report final grade but it reality; it is more because final copies are generally a full letter grade better than drafts.
