Asturias – Tax on Property Transfers Spanish property law in the Balearic Islands , in particular Ley 13/2010 establishes that the rate of tax payable upon the purchase of a property depends on the value of the property. This is however subject to a number of exceptions which are as follows:

Asturias – Tax on Property Transfers Between 0 and 300,000 euros 8% Between 300,000 and 500,000 euros 9% More than 500.000 euros 10%

If the property is officially protected by the public administration (i.e. built using public subsidies and sold at a lower value with sell-on restrictions) then the rate of tax payable is 3% where it is the second or subsequent transfer of the property and the property is to be used as a main residence.
