Personal Story Utilizing the Simple Practice of Flashcards :

Personal Story Utilizing the Simple Practice of Flashcards I am a caretaker for a 13-year-old girl with Down syndrome named Molly. She is fully included in regular education classrooms. Her mother recently crafted and laminated a blank flashcard template with the hopes of creating a variety of homemade flashcards for her daughter to utilize in every subject.

Personal Story Utilizing the Simple Practice of Flashcards (Cont.) :

Personal Story Utilizing the Simple Practice of Flashcards (Cont.) Molly’s teachers provided future subject material that they desired most for Molly to learn. With that said, flashcards were made for every subject ahead of time and it serves to be a very beneficial tool for her. I recently spent time on a lesson about geography with her utilizing flashcards. For example, one flashcard had a picture of Egypt on it and the other had the printed word ‘Egypt ’ on it. Along with other geographical places, Molly learned the word and quickly associated it with the appropriate region.
