Flawless skin is a blessing. This does not mean that in case nature forgot to bless you with such skin you can never have it. A little extra effort, a little extra care, a few smart tips and voila, you can create your own blessing!

Tip #1:

Tip #1 Avoid heavy cleansers. They remove essential oils of skin. You want clean skin, not parched skin. Dermatologists advise choosing cleansers that are devoid of detergents.   Either use a pH balanced toner or don’t use it at all. In case you use pH cleanser, you won’t need any toner. Check the label of products. Low pH ones can cause skin dryness.

Tip #2:

Tip #2 Can you sacrifice fragrance for flawless complexion? It is found that fragrance present in skin products trigger most of the skin allergies. Usually, fragrance is prepared using harsh chemicals, some of which are unknown in their formulation. Choose products that are labeled “fragrant free.” If you love fragrances and cannot do without it, wear a perfume.

Tip #3:

Tip #3 Check your moisturizer.   Get one that contains Hyaluronic Acid, which is a natural moisturizing substance. This is a better option than a bottle that contains simple parabens and mineral oils. Get a moisturizer that hydrates and protects skin. Nowadays, you can even get moisturizers that contain anti aging benefits. They help to prevent aging signs and contribute to maintaining the flawlessness of your skin.

Tip #4:

Tip #4 Have a clear digestive system. Sounds strange? You might wonder what the relation between digestion and skin is. There is a deep connection. Digestive disorders lead to skin problems. So, again, you must sacrifice junk food. You need not banish them altogether, simply reduce their intake. You will see the difference on your skin. Include fresh fruits and veggies, plus nuts and legumes, in your diet.

Tip #5:

Tip #5 Drink lots of water, up to three liters per day, irrespective of the freezing weather outside. Water is one element that contributes significantly in rendering a healthy glow to skin. It also helps to lighten pigmentation and wrinkles, giving your skin a smooth and supple texture. According to dermatologists, about 15 per cent of skin is composed of water molecules.

Tip #6:

Tip #6 Get your “sun dose” daily.   You may have read articles that tell you to avoid sun, but this does not apply to the morning sun. Exposing your skin to sunlight between 7am and 10 am is good for skin, as it helps skin to synthesize Vitamin D. This is needed for good complexion. Please avoid the sun when it is at its harshest.

Tip #7:

Tip #7 Catch your beauty sleep for at least seven to eight hours every night. According to dermatologists, skin repairs itself during night when you are asleep. It increases secretion of growth hormones. This gives your skin a fresh and healthy glow in the morning. A good night’s sleep relaxes your mind and body. This, in turn, affects the appearance of your skin.

Tip #8:

Tip #8 Be active, physically. When you put muscles to work it increases blood circulation in skin. This gives a lovely glow to skin. According to skin experts, about 30 minutes of workout can help flush out toxins from skin. Only a clear skin exudes glow.
