Rain Begins 17 Cheshvan:

וַתָּבֹא אֵלָיו הַיּוֹנָה לְעֵת עֶרֶב, וְהִנֵּה עֲלֵה-זַיִת טָרָף בְּפִיהָ; וַיֵּדַע נֹחַ, כִּי-קַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ . The dove came back to Noach with an olive tree branch and Noach knew the waters had gone down. Dove Brings Back Olive Branch 24 th of Elul

וַיְהִי בְּאַחַת וְשֵׁשׁ-מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה, בָּרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ, חָרְבוּ הַמַּיִם, מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ; וַיָּסַר נֹחַ, אֶת-מִכְסֵה הַתֵּבָה, וַיַּרְא, וְהִנֵּה חָרְבוּ פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה . And it was the 600 th and 1 st year of the 1 st month on the 1 st day of the month and the water had gone Noach removed the cover of the Ark and saw the water was gone. וַיִּבֶן נֹחַ מִזְבֵּחַ, לַיהוָה; וַיִּקַּח מִכֹּל הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהֹרָה, וּמִכֹּל הָעוֹף הַטָּהוֹר, וַיַּעַל עֹלֹת, בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ .
