The name of the method is VERTICAL AND CROSSWISE METHOD .

First! We will start with Multiplication of two Digit number by an another two digit number.:

Before going to calculation, I would like to share an Animation that will help you in multiplying a two digit by an another two digit number.

Lets take for example:

Lets take for example 13 42 X

Now we will follow that animation and multiply 13 x 42. Step 1 - First multiply 3 X 2, i.e. 6.:

Step 2 - Multiply 1 X 2 and 3 X 4. Add the sum i.e., 2 + 12 = 14. So write down 4 with carry 1.:

Step 3 - Multiply 1 X 4 = 4 and 1 we have previous carry, so the total became 5.:
