Holiday resort. :

Holiday resort. Lots of families from all over Britain visit Exmouth for a traditional British holiday. Sandy Bay is home to one of the largest caravan holiday sites in Europe.

Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Clock:

Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Clock This clock is on the seafront. Lots of towns and villages have clocks to celebrate important events.

Fishing :

Fishing Exmouth has several fishing boats. Mussels, other shell fish and fish are caught locally. One of our pupils father has been on television showing the catching of mussels.

Sailing and watersports.:

Sailing and watersports. The Exe Sailing Club is home to twice Olympic Silver medallist Joe Glanfield plus fellow Olympians Ben Rhodes and Stevie Morrision.  Steph Bridge is the three times World Kitesurfing Champion. Joe, Stevie and Steph were pupils at the Beacon school. We have had several pupils training and winning national sailing awards.

A La Ronde:

A La Ronde Quirky in shape and history, Exmouth’s only National Trust house is situated two miles outside the town centre and houses the souvenirs of two spinster cousins’ Grand Tour of Europe. This 45-ft, sixteen sided, Byzantine style thatched house has 20 rooms set out around a central octagonal hall. Built in 1795, it is decorated with seashells.

Christmas Day Swim.:

Christmas Day Swim. Yes that is snow on the beach. Every Christmas Day the residents of Exmouth go for a swim in the sea raising thousands of pound for charities.

Jurassic coast.:

Jurassic coast. Gateway to the UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site , which stretches across to Lyme Regis, with 250 million year old cliffs, exposing a wealth of geological wonder that can be viewed either by walking along the breath-taking coastal path or by a pleasant boat trip along the shoreline. You may even find a dinosaur!

Jurassic Coast:

Jurassic Coast The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site is England's first natural World Heritage Site - it is known as The Jurassic Coast. Wildlife:

Wildlife We have squirrels running around our school walls. Seagulls are very naughty as they come and pinch our food. Sometimes the seagulls come into the school hall. The seagulls like to help the fishermen with their catch.
