What Is Occupational Therapy?:

Basic activities: Eating, dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, and written communication. What Is Occupational Therapy?

Who OT’s Work with?:

Not Just for adults Children can use it to for birth injuries, burns, cancer, learning problems, injuries, et cetera. They can help with behavioral disorders, anger problems, and teach basic task that people do every day. Who OT’s Work with?

Examples of activities:

First techniques used by Asclepiades and Celsus exercise , baths, music, massages, conversation, and travel . Examples of activities

Advantages/Disadvantages of Occupational Therapy:

Advantage: Stress free, easy to find a job, making a living is not bad, and it is flexible. Disadvantage: boring, repetitive, and frustrating. Advantages/Disadvantages of Occupational Therapy

What is Physical Therapy?:

“Physical Therapy is defined as the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods” (Occupational Therapy Schools Guide). What is Physical Therapy?

Who PT’s Work With:

Athletes mainly Anybody can use physical therapy from senior citizens to a child. Who PT’s Work With

Techniques PT’s use To Help Patients:

soft tissue mobilization, strain-counter strain, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, high velocity/low amplitude thrusting, and maintaining back pain relief long-term. Techniques PT’s use T o Help Patients

Advantages/Disadvantages of Physical therapy:

Advantages: Secure job, well paid, very considerable benefits. Disadvantages: cost of schooling, physical demanding, register and license renewals. Advantages/Disadvantages of Physical therapy

Difference Between OTs and PTs:

Occupational therapists give their patients the confidence to know that they are still able to function in society and do what normal people can do. Physical therapy is less personal than occupational because they mainly focus on injuries and helping the patient achieve function again Difference Between OTs and PTs

Which is More Personal?:

Physical therapy is less personal than occupational because they mainly focus on injuries and helping the patient achieve function again Occupational therapy focuses on mainly helping prevent the patient from more injury. Which is More Personal?

Conclusion/Personal Experiences:

Occupational therapy and physical therapy are two great professions to get into but to me one is better than the other one. Conclusion/Personal Experiences
