Here are some interesting facts about your teeth which you never knew:  Enamel on the outer surface of your teeth is the hardest part of your body.  Your teeth are very unique just like your fingerprints no two people in the world have the same set of teeth.  An average person spends 38.5 days brushing their teeth over their lifetime.  1/3 of your tooth is underneath your gums.  Your mouth produces over 25000 quarts of saliva in a lifetime.  Baby teeth start to form even when the baby is inside the womb.  Wisdom teeth are becoming obsolete.

 There are thousands of tiny teeth in snails.  An armadillo has 104 teeth.  Sharks never get cavities due to the presence of fluoride in their teeth.  An average person brushes for only 45-70 seconds a day while the recommended amount is 2-3 minutes.  An average woman smiles 62 times a day whereas an average man smiles only 8 times.  People prefer blue toothbrushes over red ones.  The most common oral disease in the world is a tooth cavity.  Many diseases including heart disease are linked to your oral health.  About 60-90 of children have tooth decay.  In the US a child is 5 times more likely to seek emergency help due to dental problems compared to asthmas.  In Canada an estimated 2.26 million school days are missed each year due to dental problems.  There can be 1 billion bacteria on each tooth if you don’t practice oral hygiene.  Your chewing side is usually directly proportional to your active hand.
