Tips to Help Your Child Ace Their Tests

Slide2:

Tests are one of methods for teachers to gauge effectively what their students know (and what they need to know); however, tests aren’t meant for just teachers.  Through tests, kids learn and develop study skills, learn ways to handle and tackle the unknown (such as pop quizzes), and learn from their errors, in academic settings.

Slide3:

Through preparation and practice, kids would feel more equipped and prepared to handle tests, most importantly, without needing to cheat . They would also get more confidents about facing failures or errors as they would rely more on their individual abilities and give their best.   Here are some strategies for kids to do better at tests.

Talk to Your Child’s Teacher:

Talk to Your Child’s Teacher Often, teachers would offer students with a study guide for upcoming tests where the format and featured information would be outlined.  If you have not yet received the study guide, you should perhaps call the teacher or visit her.

Slide5:

Ask the teacher about all the things that your kid needs to prepare for, and also ask her about weak spots in your child’s learning, if any, suggests the teachers at the  schools in Borivali .

Involve the Family :

Involve the Family You should consider playing short, relaxed fifteen-minute games rather than enforcing your child to stressful cram sessions . Involving grown-ups and siblings would make the process of learning more fun for kids, instead of fretful.

Slide7:

If your child is at  playgroup in Kandivali West  or at a preschool, then spending time with the whole family is even better, as they could see their elder siblings and learn from them . You could make study fun by playing little games that includes multiplication tables, for instance . Take any object, say napkin, and pass it around. Whoever ends up with the napkin would have to answer a mathematics question.

Engage the Senses:

Engage the Senses Certain concepts would stick better when parents integrate the senses of smell, sound and touch in fun ways . The teacher at the  international school in Borivali West  suggests that when there is movement involved, children tend to remember facts better compared to when they are simply sitting at their table, just skimming textbook information.

Slide9:

You may try throwing beach ball with your child while she is reciting state capitals or science facts . In order to help with spelling or reading, let the kids use icing for writing words on cake pans or to shape cookie dough on the baking tray in order to practice letters.

Make Fun Flash Cards :

Make Fun Flash Cards When your kid is preparing for a math, social studies, or spelling test, flash cards could help your kid a lot in reviewing facts anywhere . It is important that the flash cards are made unique, with colorful pens, index cards, stickers, and magazine pictures for the different subjects.

Slide11:

For a change, let your child be the quiz leader, and let them hold flash cards and test you. Kids love being the teacher. offer some wrong answers, and allow your child to correct you, just to add the silly factor. It will make th e whole exercise more fun for the children.
