Common multiples:

Common multiples As same as multiples (on chapter 2.6) Examples: Multiples of 5: 5, 10 , 15, 20 , 25, 30 ,…. Multiples of 10: 10 , 20 , 30 , 40, 50, 60,…. How to answer: The first three common multiples of 5 and 10 are 10, 20, 30.

Exercise (no solution):

Exercise (no solution) Find the first three common multiples of 3 and 6 4 and 12 7 and 14 9 and 18 2, 3 and 6 (two common multiples) 2, 5 and10 (two common multiples) 3, 6 and 9 (two common multiples)

Lowest Common Multiples (LCM):

Lowest C ommon Multiples (LCM) As same as common multiples (on chapter 2.7) Examples of 3 and 6 Multiples of 3: 3, 6 , 9, 12 , 15, 18 ,…. Multiples of 6: 6 , 12 , 18 , 24, 30, 36,…. How to answer: The common multiples of 3 and 6 are 6, 12, 18 (non – answer/only know) The LCM of 3 and 6 is 6 ( full answer) – the smallest c ommon multiples
