Introduction

PowerPoint Presentation:

Kathak is a dance form ; from the North of India which originated during the time of mughals . It was a court dance and was performed by skilled artisans. Its beauty is in its footwork where the artists wear a belt of small bells and dance. The bells produce sounds which match the musician’s instrument. Tabla along with the footwork come the mucbeas . The hand movement gadbaav or the depiction of a mythological character or event through facial expression, footwork and muclras is the most characteristic beauty of the dance form. The artist dances not o only physically but merges emotions into it and therefore this dance form stands out special amongst the classical dances of India.
