What Happened? What Did Snowden Do? In May 2013, after a series of secret communications with two experienced reporters (Laura Poitras and Glenn Greenwald), NSA Contractor and System Administrator Edward Snowden took four laptops, each with a 1 TB drive and flew to Hong Kong and later sought asylum in Russia Approximately 1.7 million classified documents have been copied and removed from the NSA’s infrastructure while Snowden was on duty in Hawaii The damage to the National Security of the United States is said to be “incalculable” and the WORST DATA BREACH EVER.
