Jesus is the face of Hope we can believe in… The Adoration of the Shepherds, Giovanni Girolamo Salvodo 1530's Prophet Isaiah says…

Slide 19:

The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom. They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song.…They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.  … Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you.  Then will the eyes of the blind be opened, the ears of the deaf be cleared; then will the lame leap like a stag, then the tongue of the dumb will sing. Streams will burst forth in the desert, and rivers in the steppe.  The burning sands will become pools, and the thirsty ground, springs of water; the abode where jackals lurk will be a marsh for the reed and papyrus. A highway will be there, called the holy way… It is for those with a journey to make, and on it the redeemed will walk.  Those whom the LORD has ransomed will return and enter Zion singing, crowned with everlasting joy; They will meet with joy and gladness, sorrow and mourning will flee. Isaiah 35

Slide 20:

We now invite you to bring the real HOPE of Jesus into your life

Slide 21:

Part of our Advent journey is about learning to hope… learning to imagine what we can't see… but that we know IS.

Slide 22:

Jesus is our real HOPE… His birth reassures us of how blessed we are… Ponder on: “How have I experienced this real HOPE today?” “How can I share this Hope during this week?” Pause to give thanks to our God of Hope…

Slide 23:

End by speaking to the Lord: “Dear Jesus, Our true Hope, send Your Holy Spirit upon my preparations for Christmas. Help me to deepen my hope in You and to share it with others in my life. For all of us are a people, walking in darkness. Yet, seeking Your Light. To you we say, Come, Lord, Jesus! Come and be our Hope!” Glory be to the Father…
