Slide 1:

HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT COMMUNICATE THE LIFE OF GOD THROUGH US TO OTHERS

Slide 2:

1 Cor 2: When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. 6 We do, however, SPEAK A MESSAGE OF WISDOM AMONG THE MATURE, but not the WISDOM OF THIS AGE or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a WISDOM THAT HAS BEEN HIDDEN AND THAT GOD DESTINED FOR OUR GLORY before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Cor 2:9 However, as it is written:“ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: 16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. NIV

Eph 3:10 His intent was that NOW, through the church, the MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his ETERNAL PURPOSE which he ACCOMPLISHED IN CHRIST JESUS our Lord. 12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Acts 19:15 15 But [one] evil spirit retorted, JESUS I KNOW, and PAUL I KNOW about, but WHO ARE YOU? AMP

Slide 12:

Acts 9:10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered. 11 The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight." 13 "Lord," Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem. Acts 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name." 15 But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."

Slide 13:

Acts 9:17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord-Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here — has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. NIV

Slide 14:

Heb 12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." 27 The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken — that is, created things — so that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our "God is a consuming fire."
