Impact of disasters: : 

Impact of disasters: 400 million people annually effected by disaster From 1990 up to now the economic losses from natural disaster has increased from $10 to $ 50 billions. Asia has the largest number of natural and non natural disasters in the world. ( Asia 100, America 45, Europe 45 and Africa 25) Value of international humanitarian assistance for emergency response has increased from $ 3 millions in 1969 now to 4 billions- mostly from development budgets.

Impact of earthquake : 

Impact of earthquake approx. 45,000 people homeless, expected to rise to 75,000 when the affected people, currently staying with family members or being hospitalized outside Bam. approx. 25,000 buildings destroyed (85%), including houses and public facilities in Bam and surrounding villages. 5000 - 6000 unregistered buried is officially announced by government authorities.

Upgrade and support one UHC to Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care Unit and three RHC to Basic Emergency Obstetric Care Units. Training of health and EOC unit staff on emergency preparedness and care.
