Book Clubs are Fun for Everyone! :

Book Clubs are Fun for Everyone! Students and parents share their thoughts about Halfway to the Sky by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley at Ammons Middle School during our monthly Book Club breakfast. Halfway to the Sky is a young adult novel about growing up and using nature and hiking to sort out all those mixed-up feelings. Camping anyone?

Many parents attended to watch their children battle it out. The generous KB K-8 PTA provided lunch for all the guests.

Learning to use the online catalog is essential to using the library media center. :

Learning to use the online catalog is essential to using the library media center. Once a student learns to use Destiny, they have the entire library at their finger tips. It is very satisfying to see them ask for titles they have found on their own and ask to put them on hold because they just can’t wait to read them.

Becoming a librarian is the best career move I ever made because I love what I do and I get to do what I love every day! :

Becoming a librarian is the best career move I ever made because I love what I do and I get to do what I love every day! My hope is to instill in students a true love of literature so they will become life-long readers and to guide them along the path of inquiry so they will always search and find answers to their information needs through out their journey.
