INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION The Union Cabinet has cleared the Foreign Educational Institutions (Regulation of Entry and Operation) Bill, 2010, which will be later introduced in Parliament. Foreign universities' intentions ,scale and duration of their involvement. Symbiotic relationship with the Indian education system.

OBJECTIVES:

OBJECTIVES To create the intellectual infrastructure and knowledge. To sustain high growth trajectory in a competitive global environment. To make India the skills capital of the world. To develop the skills needed to support the rapid expansion of manufacturing and services. To develop a more productive and sophisticated society.

OPPORTUNITIES:

OPPORTUNITIES Improving efficiency and Enhancing quality. Son of the soil. 100% foreign direct investment. Foreign providers to set up Independent colleges which will be treated as deemed universities. Teaching system and arrival of new technology.

CHALLENGES:

CHALLENGES Pattern of Education system leading to Regulatory, social and cultural challenges Reservation policy. Dilemma between Individualism and family being a fundamental unit. Possibility of racial attack in India on students of other countries. High competition for Indian universities. Possibility of disturbances of existing policy.

CONCLUSION :

CONCLUSION In a nutshell, the key to the gate of heaven is also the key which could open the gate of hell and entrance of foreign universities provides a mix of opportunities and dangers for management education.
