It established to bring peace in the world. The beautiful views of Darjeeling and Kanchenjunga are seen from this temple. The Peace Pagoda, also known as the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, is in fact a unique component, built by the Nipopujen Mayohi sect of Japanese Buddhism. This stupa is a symbol of peace here. The Fuji Thursday here has devoted his entire life here, to world peace. To give a message of peace, he established a pagoda here. It was a suitable place for a temple of peace. This stupa is 65 feet in diameter and its size is 125 feet long. The stupa has the relics of Lord Buddha, gold ornaments and a lot of glass items.

On entering the temple you will see the picture of Guruji which is directly opposite the entrance. The Buddhas picture also shows that it is a Buddhist religious temple. Fuji Guruji was a very close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. He had witnessed the tragedy of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 with Mahatma Gandhi.

www.walmarttravels.com Prayer Room In Peace Pagoda:- To reach the prayer room on the first floor in Peace Pagoda you have to go through wooden stairs. Prayer time is from 4:30 to 6:00 am and in the evening from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. It is absolutely free for tourists visiting here. The time of prayer in this temple is from 4:30 am to 6:00 pm and from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the evening.
