What is Subject Verb Agreement?:

What is Subject Verb Agreement? A subject of a sentence has to “agree” with the verb in the sentence in other words a singular subject has to have a singular verb EX. The car moves. a plural subject has to have a plural verb. Ex. The cars move.

Words Between Subject and Verb:

Sometimes words come between the subject and the verb The animals in the pound down the block need a home. Remove modifiers to get the most basic sentence “The animals need a home.” and it is easier to see. Words Between Subject and Verb
