Mark 14:10-11 :

Mark 14:10-11 Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus

Slide 2:

10 Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them. 11 And when they heard it they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to betray him.

Slide 3:

14:10-11 The Betrayal by Judas Mark, presents the shortest account of Judas’ betrayal. Notice that Judas sought out the chief priests. Betrayal was his own idea. The enemies of Jesus were happy because Judas would help them achieve their goals so they promised to pay him money. Mark, who wasn’t one of the twelve, was relating what Peter had told him about Judas. Judas wasn’t the only betrayer. Peter will deny Jesus three times himself, but unlike Judas, Peter will seek forgiveness.
