We hosted students and helped to prepare the workshops”. French students: “We had prepared the drama parts for the musical (…) We had learned our lines before going to Karben (..) We also thought about and prepared the casting, direction and setting.” Czech students: “We planned a trip through Prague”

It was difficult to plan things with partners. We would have liked… To be able to do more things together with our partners. Guest students were matched to host students of the same age .

The meetings after school were mostly in national groups. Two guest students from the same country for each host student.

We learned a lot of things and we could interact with other European students and get to know them. (7) Well-organized activities (2) Interesting trips. (2) Teachers were nice and welcoming. There was a lot of waiting for some activities while not enough time for others. (1) About Mr. Herbert Debus’s workshop on Thursday… “It was the best. (…) Each student played a different role (…) It showed the differences between our communities.” (1) “We should have done it the very first day (Monday)” (1) I didn’t participate in all the activities (1)

12. Did you enjoy participating in the musical "A Flower to the Enemy"? What was you role within the musical ? (Part II) “I learnt how to sing.” (1) “It was a good idea and fun. I didn’t play the biggest role but still I enjoyed it. It was really nice preparing the final show. It was as if we were professionals.” (1) “It was very interesting how we performed the musical… How 9 countries were united and were a big family for a week.” (1) “The musical was, in general, chaotic because the best actors had minor roles and the longest roles were for students who had difficulties with English and pronunciation.” (1)

(Part I) Rehearsals were… Good/ well-organised/ dynamic/ fun/ interesting/ exciting/ great/ creative/ perfect (14 students) I enjoyed working with drama teachers from France (2) “ Mr. Arnaud Alzat-Laly is a great director.” (1) Exhausting/ stressful/ difficult/ there was not enough time because… (4) “Some countries did not understand what they had to do before the meeting and arrived without any preparation.”

(10 students) My second time (12) My third time (1) “I think that I have learnt new things about human rights and also I met the German people and culture. It was my first time as a guest. Last year I hosted a student in Cyprus” (1)

It wasn’t my first Comenius meeting but it was the first time I hosted someone. It was very funny and I met a lot of new people” “In Karben I discovered the point of view of other European teenagers about human rights and it was interesting. I also learned some songs created for this Comenius project” “I understand that beyond borders , we can speak and share a lot together.”

Because these two meetings left me memories that will never fade. Because I met tons of amazing people from all over Europe. Because this project makes me want to be a better person.” “I’d love to, but I’ll leave school next year because I’ll graduate (…) If I was younger I would.” “I learned a lot of things about human rights!! I hope our commitment will keep going!!!”
