Rough Cut Research:

Rough Cut Research Judgment Productions

Slide2:

Our feedback from the majority (54%) of people who watched the rough cut of our opening sequence expect the credits and titles to be in the bottom of the frame. Therefore we will keep the titles and credits in the bottom of the frame. 77% of people who watched the rough cut want the titles and credits to come in in the middle of the opening sequence. Therefore we will start our credits in the middle f the opening sequence, challenging conventions.

Slide3:

The majority (54%) of people who saw our opening sequence said that the amount of transitions used was alright, however we will be using some more towards then end, to fade out the title. This goes against our research, however this change is a must and will improve the opening sequence. 64% of the people who said that the sequence did need more transitions said a fade, this is how we will be fading out the title so therefore we are listing to a large minority, even though the divide was small between more transitions and less.

Slide4:

If yes, please tell us which and what… The shot when he puts his hands on the box is too long, looks silly. As 85% of people who watched the rough cut of our opening sequence said no shots should be longer or shorter then most will stay the same, however as one person picked up on a shot being too long it will be adjusted to look better.

Slide5:

If no, please elaborate… Needs more dock sounds, more office sounds, dream sounds. The majority (77%) of people who saw our rough cut of our opening sequence found said that the music should climax at the end, therefore we will use this vote from the majority and climax our music at the end of the sequence. The majority (62%) said that there was not enough ambient sound, stating that there needed more sound at the docks, office and while in the dream. We were planning to add to these areas already so this confirms that we were on the right track and will go ahead with adding these ambient sounds.
