Civil War:

Civil War Between the Sudan liberation movement/Army(SLM/A) and the Justice and equality movement(JEM) The JEM is a rebel group that took up arms against the Sudan government which began in February 26, 2003 The government group was arabic and the rebel group was sudanese . The Civil War ended in February 2010 when both groups signed a cease fire treaty.

Justice and Equality Movement:

Justice and Equality Movement The Jem is a rebel group that started attacking the Sudanese government on February 26, 2003.

J.E.M. Continued:

J.E.M. Continued Was started by K halil Ibrahim and his brother has run the group ever since Khalil was killed in December of 2011.

J.E.M. Formation and Organization:

J.E.M. Formation and Organization They wanted to take down the dictatorship of Omar al-Bashir and the ruling congress party with a civil and democratic state.

J.E.M. History of attacks:

J.E.M. History of attacks In October 2007, the Jem attacked the Defra oil field in the Kordan region of Sudan. In May 2008, Jem engaged in its most famous operation against a sudanese government when it attacked the Sudanese capitol of Khartoum.

Genocide:

Genocide Even though the War is over, the government is still killing innocent people. More than 2.5 million civilians have been killed. One of the worst murder campaigns since World War II.
