DOUG BLOODWORTH Photorealism:

DOUG BLOODWORTH Photorealism Music : Richard Sanderson Author : Beatrice V

Photorealism is a fine arts dealership focusing solely on photorealistic paintings. You walk into a room and see a Bloodworth Monopoly and you say, “Beautiful photo”.  But as you get closer to the piece, you realize that it’s actually an oil painting and you exclaim “Holy moly:  I cannot believe it.  Look at the shadows.  Look at the green tint under the car.  Look at the depth of field.  It’s absolutely amazing”.  In the New York Times piece, Doug painted every letter in the font of the New York Times.  In the Wall Street Journal piece, he painted every letter in the font of the Wall Street Journal.  Look at the condensation on the Red Bull can.  One cannot appreciate this on a computer screen.  Visit a gallery to see these pieces with your own eyes; in real life, they are absolutely incredible.   :
