The Department of Energy indicated in a small table in a pdf file in June 2011 that it conducted its 25th and 26th non-criticality nuclear test in February 2011 and December 2010. The DOE's customary 'policy' regarding Subcritical Nuclear Experiments (SNEs) was to give a 48 hour advance notice via a press release. Why did the DOE suddenly mothball this 'policy' and what are the implications? This powerpoint presentation discusses the DOE's subcritical experiments Barolo A and B conducted in Nevada last December and this past February (following Bacchus).
