Grade 4 Immigration Studies Multimedia Project
Project Title: Immigration Studies 4th grade student presenter: Shawn’Dre-yah Classroom B322 Teacher: Mrs. Solomon Academic Aims: Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to: 1. Create a multimedia presentation in PowerPoint 2. Research how immigrants have affected the neighborhoods of Boston 3. Create posters of their findings and present orally to the class 4. Write poetry about being immigrants/citizens 5. Write journal entries as if they were coming to America as an immigrant in 1907 6. Respond to literature after reading different books about immigration by creating their own memory coats after reading The Memory Coat 7. Explain in writing which 5 items they would bring with them in a suitcase if coming to America as an immigrant in 1907 and create a suitcase depicting those items after reading If Your Name Was Changed at Ellis Island students 8. Learn about the Statue of Liberty 9.
