Georgia Day 2011 at State Capitol Georgia Day 2011 at State Capitol

Georgia colonists landed at Yamacraw Bluff on Feb. 1, 1733 (O.S.) or Feb. 12 (N.S.) -- which is the basis for the current celebration of Feb. 12 as Georgia Day. Each year on that day at the State Capitol, Georgia's original copies of its charter and Declaration of Independence are put on display. This year's celebration was held on February 10, 2011. This presentation was put together by Sandra Parrish.
