The West Bank BarrierFebruary 2007 :In June 2002, Israel accelerated construction of the Barrier.
It stated that the Barrier was a temporary security structure to prevent the entrance of suicide bombers into Israel.
In many places the Barrier separates Palestinians from other Palestinians, from their families, from their farm land, and from humanitarian services such as water resources, hospitals and schools.

Slide 4:There are 60 gates in the Barrier that allow some access to land, however, fewer than half are open to Palestinians.
Palestinians must obtain permits from the Israeli army to cross a gate. The permit is valid for one gate only.
Gates are generally open 3 times a day for 20 minutes and can be unpredictable.

METHODS
