Order is maintained when the students know what to do and how to act --Maintaining a neat, organized, and inspiring working environment --Preventing “free” time. The above components become difficult to achieve when hands are idle.

Slide 3:Philosophy of Classroom Management The goal of classroom management is to create a productive and positive learning environment in which the students are able to learn openly through a structure of basic respect and cooperative interaction —The teacher will distinguish when interaction is appropriate, and when to mandate individual work. The teacher's goal is to orchestrate this environment, while upholding high expectations and motivational support for the students, so that this expectation is met. Within the structured classroom, self-discipline and responsibility are (encouraged) REQUIRED, and each student is capable of (learning) IMPROVING.

Slide 4:Positive Learning Environment --The classroom is neat and organized, with student work displayed --A sense of mutual respect is maintained between all members of the classroom, and the primary goal of learning is (enunciated) ENFORCED, so that a sense of community is created --Students feel safe, productive, and valued --Consistency is prioritized. The students are visually and verbally aware of their expectations, and the teacher treats each student with an equal level of respect, which is conveyed appropriately according to the maturity level of the students. --Enthusiasm for learning and life is prevalent. Energy, a positive attitude, and rewards help to motivate student learning --The teacher is recognized as the authority figure.
