Become financially viable (profitable, positive net assets)
Be competitive on and off the field
Reduce structural disadvantage
Operate out of competitive, world class training and administration facilities
Deliver a broad support package
Not just about additional distributions
A combination of initiatives across funding, stadiums, joint projects, facilities, delivering cost savings and revenue growth
Increase support for disadvantaged clubs but without restricting growth opportunities for larger clubs

CLUBS WILL DIRECTLY RECEIVE MORE THAN $650M IN DISTRIBUTIONS: CLUBS WILL DIRECTLY RECEIVE MORE THAN $650M IN DISTRIBUTIONS Increases in Base Distribution to fully fund increases in TPP (5 year commitment, 7.3%, 7%, 3.5%, 3.3% and 3.3%)
An additional $6m in Non-TPP Distribution to each club over 5 years ($1.2m pa per club)
Increase Annual Special Distribution from $5.4m to $6.2m pa and apply to a broader group of disadvantaged clubs
Increase Prize-money for the Premiership Season by $1m p.a
Premiership season prize-pool of $2.6m and NAB Cup of $0.6m
Continue Other payments to clubs for AFL membership, Licensing, signage, travel support and other club deals
Continue the Strategic Partnership Fund at $1m p.a, plus around $1.8m in carry over from 2005/06

Expanded Annual Special Distributions:
3 year commitments (2007 to 2009). Ongoing support for 2010 and 2011 will be subject to a further review
Conditions will be attached to each arrangement
Transparent ASD funding schedule (2007-09)
Debt reduction opportunity:
Only available to Clubs identified as in need of such financial support by the AFL (ie: clubs on re-direction orders or with poor balance sheets)
These clubs will have the option of taking up to $3m upfront to pay down debt
A commercial interest rate or Net Present Value consideration will be applied
Partnership with clubs for Game Development:
A new rule will be introduced that requires all Clubs to field a minimum of 4 rookies
Clubs will continue to deliver over 60,000 hours of player appearances to promote game in schools and community clubs
Coaches will also participate in a new program for promotion and education of community coaches
Guarantees:
Entire $6m in non TPP distribution is conditional on full participation in new media agreement and compliance with CBA and game development activity
Distributions are subject to AFL meeting revenue forecasts Every Club will know what every Club receives

$0.4m increase over 5 years in AFLPA Funding (including existing Retirement Fund, Training Costs, Admin Costs etc)
Around $1.1m pa Share of Prizemoney (paid to players from AFL’s distribution to clubs)
If AFL exceeds revenue forecasts, additional contributions can be made to the retirement fund
No direct distributions from the Future Fund
9. Players will forego TPP increases to contribute $1.1m over 5 years to a Hardship fund for ex-Players (creating a total fund of $1.36m)
