Question on our blog: Does anybody know a program that allows power point to 1) be viewed on iPhone/iTouch with embeded video?
Here's one way you can do this:
Download and install authorPOINT Lite. Import your presentation (with embedded video + rehearsed timings) into the application. After successful conversion, use the "Upload to authorSTREAM feature" within the application. Once uploaded, the presentation will be available as a video download and as an iPod download. Click on the iPod download icon and the presentation will be downloaded as a podcast in iTunes. Sync your iPhone/iTouch with iTunes and transfer the presentation. The presentation will now play in your iPhone/iTouch with your embedded video.
For the video embed, we Support ".avi files", ".mpeg files", and ".mpg files", but only with Office 2007. In case of ".mpeg" and ".mpg" you need to have Quick time player installed on your machine.

Currently embedded video doesn’t play in video output of authorSTREAM. This feature will be released soon..

You can use authorPOINT Lite a free software available at http://www.authorgen.com/authorpoint-lite-free/powerpoint-to-flash-converter.aspx to upload presentations on authorSTREAM. authorPOINT Lite has been designed for authorSTREAM users to provide hassle free conversion and upload to authorSTREAM. Using authorPOINT Lite not only you can convert your PowerPoint Presentations to Flash on your desktop but can also preview them before uploading. authorPOINT Lite also supports windows Vista and office 2007.
