I am trying to insert an mp3 file to my presntation. I have the file inserted but I cant get the file to be embeded. How to do I switch an mp3 file from linked to inserted. All the help option tell me different options that obviously dont apply to mp3 files, howver the help tells me that mp3 files are a supported file type to be embeded.

In order to imbed audio into a ppt file, it needs to be converted to a .wav file, or if an mp3 it needs a riff wav wrapper. There are several free download programs that will do this. I use CDex and sometimes Easy CD-DA Extractor. Both will wrap an mp3 in a riff wav wrapper.

authorSTREAM currently supports embedded/ linked audio (WAV and MP3 format supported). Simply download and install authorSTREAM Desktop http://www.authorstream.com/desktop/- a free PowerPoint plug-in for PowerPoint 2007/2010 (ribbon) to upload your presentation with audio on authorSTREAM.

No need for any wrapper or extractor, simply use authorSTREAM desktop I use it ..its easy and best .
