What is a chemical change? :
What is a chemical change? The substances are altered chemically and display different physical and chemical properties after the change.
When a chemical change occurs new substance(s) are formed through a reorganization of the atoms. A chemical change is irreversible.
It is permanent and irreversible
Involve release of heat/light energy Irreversible >>> They cannot change back to what it use to be
What is a physical change? :
What is a physical change? The substances are not altered chemically.
No new products are formed.
Chemical bonds are not broken in a physical change
When a change is reversible, we call it physical changes
Reversible >>> they can return back to the original shape
