The office is where most of us spend our day. We stay there for at least eight hours. This is why it is essential that we know the fire fighting mechanisms that the building has. It is only right that we take time to familiarize the whereabouts of the different emergency exits as well as the location of the fire extinguishers and alarms. EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURE

IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE: CALL Fire Dept. Hotline (112 Misortel and 160 Philcom ) Give your name & exact location of fire. DO NOT FIGHT THE FIRE unless you are trapped or trained and it is safe (i.e., sure & safe exit) to do so, using a portable fire extinguisher. Activate fire alarm and call Fire Department first.

IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE: Evacuate the area immediately if one extinguisher does not put the fire out. 6. EVACUATE THE BUILDING by the nearest exit.

Stay calm, do not rush, and do not panic. Safely stop your work. Gather your personal belongings if it is safe to do so. (Reminder: Observe Priority Coding.) If safe, close your office door and window, but do not lock them.
