In a short paragraph describe the subject of the book. White fang is the title of a novel by American author Jack London. Much of the story is about a wolf who lives with humans and misses the wild nature and his mother. He knows that there is another animal stronger than himself. He understands the human law of violence . He will need to learn his lessons –just to stay alive.

Young wolf cub/White fang: White fang is the son of One Eye and Kiche. Gray Beaver: He is white fang’s first master. Beauty Smith: An Ugly man who keeps white fang in cage and trains him to become a fighting dog .

Briefly list the major events in the book In the northwest of Canada, a she-wolf by the name of Kiche got married to One Eye. They had 5 cubs and one of them was White Fang. Some Indians tried to catch him. One of them was Gray Beaver. His mother came to rescue White Fang but she could not. After 5 years, Gray Beaver went to Fort Yokon with White Fang for trade . There, White Fang was sold to a dog-fighter, Beauty Smith.

continued He kept white fang in cage and bet him. During one of the fights, white fang was about to be killed when a man named Weedon Scott, stopped the fight. He paid Beauty Smith for White fang and brought him home. At Scott’s home, Judge Scott did not like white fang until one day, white fang saved his life. Later, White fang fell in love with Collie and became father.

1.When white fang was a cub, he left the cave for finding food. His first lesson was “Eat or be eaten”. 2.Gray Beaver was a kind, simple, careless man. He did not save his money . Therefore, he sold white fang to an ugly man. 3.Beauty Smith who bought white fang, was a mad man and treated him very bad. Scott paid him and rescued the life of white fang. 4.Judge Scott was about to be killed by Jim Hall. White fang saved his life. plot

Would you recommend this book? why or why not? Yes, The story is very excited and shows the friendship of human and animal. It also tells we should take care of animals and not hurt them.

What meaning did you get from the book? White Fang shows the power of the human kindness to change a wild animal into a pet and animals can understand the differences between bad and good human .

Were the characters likable or unlikable? Some characters were likable such as Scott who saved White Fang from death in a fight or Gray Beaver who was the first master of White Fang. But some other characters such as Beauty Smith was unlikable because he was a mad man who kept White Fang in cage .

Was the story fast-paced or slow-moving? I think it was not fast-paced or slow-moving. It was a great novel for reading.
